A Brief but Insightful Mission
A Brief but Insightful Mission
Following the launch of SpaceX Transporter-6, the Launcher Orbiter SN1 was separated from the Falcon 9. Shortly following separation, the Orbiter SN1 experienced a malfunction preventing the vehicle from orienting itself effectively to charge it's batteries via the solar cells. This in turn ultimately resulted in the vehicle being unable to deploy Yearling. While Yearling never made it out of its deployer, the team was enthusiastic about the experience of building and launching a satellite. Taking the lessons learned from this satellite, the team would move forward to make a better version of its satellite.
